Breakdown of a wonderful birthday weekend

Foggy day

Step 1:  Invite your brother.  He's pretty great.

Shawarma sandwiches at Brookline Family Restaurant

 Hot Pot Buffet, Chinatown

Step 2:  Eat an insane amount of food.

No, I didn't receive the tall genes in the family.

Step 3:  Smile.

Step 4:  Be lucky enough to be playing incredible music in the orchestra that night...love.  (and over 700 people showed up.  Amazing!)

Step 5:  Have a party with not one, not two, but three cakes!

Step 6:  Enjoy with friends.

Step 7:  Walk through campus, enjoying the people, places, and idiosyncrasies of this place.

Sun over Kresage

"This area is closed until April 25th"  (also known as "MIT cone-setting-up-fail")

Step 8:  Hang out.

Waiting for the show to start, enjoying leg room.

This was taken at our seats.

Dressed up.

Step 9:  Boston Symphony Orchestra, in all their Beethoven Five-playing glory.  (and in the second row, too!)

Mimosas, Blood farm bacon, egg bake, monkey bread, cheesecake, roasted tomato and goat cheese tart, and a whole lot of people there to enjoy it!

Step 10:  Have eighteen people over for brunch in your 420 square foot apartment.  Because you can.

Chinatown Arch

Step 11:  Wander around Boston

Step 12:  Eat cannoli.

Step 13:  Wait patiently for your brother's next visit, and for the next big dinner party (Midsommar!)
